Naples in March

We just returned from a two week trip to Naples, Florida. It was a nice trip with Tommy, Kate and baby Trista! Oh and Chan doggy! Our first week there, the weather was too cool to go to the beach or the pool. So we did lots of other fun things! We visited Naples Zoo. We played at the Children's Museum of Naples-- affectionately called C'MON. We were mesmerized by Disney on Ice:Worlds of Fantasy. We played several days at Pelican Bay park. We went on a nature adventure to the Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary where we spotted owls, cranes, a woodpecker, adult alligators, and lots of juvenile alligators. Our last week in Naples, we finally got to go to the pool. The pool was heated to 87 degrees, but the only one who could tolerate/enjoy it was Liam. It was too cool and windy for Ewan, Kate or Trista. Of course, I had to go in with Liam.  I walked Liam down the boardwalk to the beach one day. The water was frigid, but his toes didn't seem to mind! We had a great time! Can't wait to be back down there in early May, hopefully. By then all the Spring Breakers and Snow Birds will be gone!!!!!

Christmas 2011

We had a great holiday season. I am almost (ALMOST) ashamed to say that I still have the Christmas tree in full array! It is just too pretty to take down just yet. Here are some of my favorite moments captured by photo from this Christmas!

Family time

Thanksgiving blew past like a turkey running for his life. And now with the Christmas holiday rapidly approaching, I hope that we will spend more time focusing on showing our love ones how much they mean to us instead of trying to find monetary gifts to do so. I love spending time with family here in Rockford. And wish that my family were close enough for us to do so. Love is all we have--all we need. Don't take it for granted.
