March trip to Tennessee

Liam and I went to West Tennessee for a few days to see family and friends. We had a great time. We got to see family and friends that we hadn't seen in a while. We saw Aunt Bonny and cousin Aidan. We saw Pappaw and Vicki. We saw Nana and Tony. We saw Aunt Valarie and cousin Colton. We saw Amy and Jacob Davis. We spent a few days with the Butchers, and Christy did a photo shoot with Liam. He was in constant motion, as usual, so she was exhausted trying to get good shots. Here are some of the best ones. Liam is getting so BIG!! His allergies were terrible the entire time we were in Tennessee. So in between every camera click, we were wiping his nose. And fishing rocks out of his mouth! Campbell tried to entertain him and get his attention. But he knew what we were doing, so he would run the opposite way from us and the camera! What a stinker!! It was a great trip.

Dada's Birthday

Patrick is now the big 33 (and none too happy about it)! Liam and I were glad to be able to celebrate with him! Usually he is off to spring training by now. I baked Patrick a vanilla bean cake with chocolate icing. He loved it. I did not care for it. And Liam was delirious from the tiny amount of icing he had. He cried when we told him it was all gone.

Peanut Butter Cookie Experiment

the cookie handoff

mouth full of peanut butter cookie, heart full of joy

happy little boy

I had the exact amount of children's liquid benadryl measured out and the route to the ER mapped in case of a peanut allergic reaction. I wanted to see if Liam truly IS MY son and loves peanut butter as much as I do. So I baked some peanut butter cookies and had my syringe of benadryl on standby. He loved the peanut butter cookies!! And So far, so good. No allergic reaction, as of this posting. But I'm told it could take a few hours to manifest IF he does turn out to have a peanut allergy. Stay tuned.

Such a BIG BOY!
