busy busy life

I have not posted a blog in so long because our life is here there and everywhere. We are in the final stages of remodeling our house. Liam and I are vagabonds at the moment--roaming all over west Tennessee visiting friends and family. Mean while, Patrick is home in Rockford, working from sunrise to sunset getting the house ready. We miss Dada a lot. But we are enjoying seeing so many loved ones!!!

Happy Fall All!!!

Hall of Fame Induction

On September 10, 2010 Patrick received the honor of being inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame at Freed-Hardeman University. Patrick attended F-HU from 1996-1998. He set many records while there--quite a few of which he still holds. Some of these records include: single-season batting average, on-base percentage, and doubles and extra base hits. While at F-HU, Patrick was a two-time all-conference and all-regional selection. In 1998, he was named an NAIA All-American and the Tennessee Small College Player
of the Year.

Patrick was inducted into the Hall of Fame alongside his coach while at F-HU, Chuck Box. It was a very memorable night. Patrick gave a great speech. Some of his teammates during his F-HU career were there to congratulate him. Freed-Hardeman is where Patrick and I met. So this was a special night for me to see him lifted up among his peers that I knew, as well. I was so proud to be there and that Liam was part of such a special night for Patrick.

Irish Fest

Liam and I went to the Irish Fest here in Rockford with Grandma and Aunt Ginny. Aunt Melissa and cousins Noah, Gabriel and Grace met us there. We saw Irish dancing, heard Irish music and even ate some food that was called "Irish". Liam and I rode one little carnival ride similar to the teacups, and I nearly turned green to match the theme of the festival. We had a blast.

Bigger every day

It's hard to believe that summer has come and gone. Fall is rapidly approaching. It's sweatshirt-wearing weather and college football-watching time. GO IRISH!

As the days roll into weeks and months, Liam is getting so big. It seems as though every morning when we wake up, he has grown another inch or two! And he gets cuter by the minute!!!!!! I love every second of his little entertaining personality!

It's a BOY!!!!!

Finally, after 9 long, torturous months of WAITING and NOT KNOWING!!!!!! (never mind the torture of pain Mama Lauren has suffered through....RIGHT?!)

It's a boy!!!!!! Ed and Lauren had their baby today! Nana Colleen, Grandma Muffy, Liam and I were all there to welcome the newest O'Sullivan-Hodges baby into the world! I have to admit, the waiting for Ed to come to the waiting room to announce the sex of the baby was kind of fun (in a Sriracha-Asian-hotsauce-in-your-eye kind of way). Uncle Dan, Aunt Melissa, and Cousins Noah, Gabriel, and Grace came later to say hi to Cousin Eamonn!

At 8 lbs, 3 ounces and 19 1/2 inches long, Edmond Joseph O'Sullivan V makes his debut into this world and into our hearts!!!!! Lauren's scheduled procedure went well with no complications. She was in great spirits after the delivery and is a happy, glowing mama!!!

I, the proud Aunt, did not even get to hold that lil stinker YET! YET!!!!! I am going back tomorrow!!!!! So, be ready Eamonn!!! Aunty Holly is going to smother you with kisses!!!!!

July 7th, Counting 1-2-3(weee)

Out of the blue, Liam just started talking up a storm. It was like a switch flipped as soon as he turned 2. I mean, he was saying lots and lots of words before then. But it's something new every day now!

More Lockwood Park

Liam and I took a trip out to Lockwood Park. It was great! We saw horses, donkeys, pigs, cows, a llama, swans, chickens, goats and ducks. Liam rode his first pony. Her name was Nutmeg and she was beautiful. Then we took a hay ride where we saw the 300 year old Red Oak tree. We had a great time. Liam practiced his horse call ALL day long. We can't wait to go back to Lockwood with Dada.

Looks like he belongs on a farm

10 homers

In Saturday night's game against the Lake County Fielders, Patrick hit his 10th home run of the season over the center field wall to put the RiverHawks ahead for the win!

With this home run, Patrick became the first player in Rockford RiverHawks history to hit 10 home runs before the All Star Break.

I'm not proud one bit. Can't you tell?!
