I wish Spring would spring already!!

Today the sun was shining. Even though it was only 30 degrees, we just HAD to get out and enjoy the spring-like sky. I put about three layers of clothing on Liam and we headed out into the neighborhood. Here is a photo and a video from our walk.

I CANNOT WAIT FOR SPRING!!!!!!

2011 Blizzard

Well we survived!!!! I didn't even take any pictures. To be honest, it wasn't as scary as I had anticipated. Poor Patrick might not agree--after all the shoveling and snow-blowing he froze doing. And Liam, poor kid, didn't even get to go out and play in the fresh snow. Shhhhh...he doesn't know any different. He's just looking forward to warmer pool weather!!!!!

Happy New Year!

It's 2011, and we are happy in our home! After lots of hard work and moving around, we are finally settled and rooted here in Rockford. We are surrounded by loving family here, although far away from other family and friends. We are enduring the cold and snow, anxiously awaiting the beautiful Spring and mild Summer. Sammy is enjoying making snow doggy angels and having her own backyard. Liam is loving having his own room and running all through his new house. Patrick worked so hard to make this house perfect. And I couldn't be happier.

We enjoyed our first merry Christmas in our home. And over New Year's Eve we welcomed a new sister into our family. (No, not a sister-wife, unfortunately.) Patrick's younger brother, Dan, married his love, Melissa. The wedding was beautiful. What a great way to ring in the New Year! Liam had a blast dancing the night away. We got to visit with aunts, uncles, and cousins from LaCrosse. We enjoyed hosting Ed, Lauren, Baby Eamonn and Loki dog. I'm looking forward to hosting lots of guests in the future!

busy busy life

I have not posted a blog in so long because our life is here there and everywhere. We are in the final stages of remodeling our house. Liam and I are vagabonds at the moment--roaming all over west Tennessee visiting friends and family. Mean while, Patrick is home in Rockford, working from sunrise to sunset getting the house ready. We miss Dada a lot. But we are enjoying seeing so many loved ones!!!

Happy Fall All!!!

Hall of Fame Induction

On September 10, 2010 Patrick received the honor of being inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame at Freed-Hardeman University. Patrick attended F-HU from 1996-1998. He set many records while there--quite a few of which he still holds. Some of these records include: single-season batting average, on-base percentage, and doubles and extra base hits. While at F-HU, Patrick was a two-time all-conference and all-regional selection. In 1998, he was named an NAIA All-American and the Tennessee Small College Player
of the Year.

Patrick was inducted into the Hall of Fame alongside his coach while at F-HU, Chuck Box. It was a very memorable night. Patrick gave a great speech. Some of his teammates during his F-HU career were there to congratulate him. Freed-Hardeman is where Patrick and I met. So this was a special night for me to see him lifted up among his peers that I knew, as well. I was so proud to be there and that Liam was part of such a special night for Patrick.

Irish Fest

Liam and I went to the Irish Fest here in Rockford with Grandma and Aunt Ginny. Aunt Melissa and cousins Noah, Gabriel and Grace met us there. We saw Irish dancing, heard Irish music and even ate some food that was called "Irish". Liam and I rode one little carnival ride similar to the teacups, and I nearly turned green to match the theme of the festival. We had a blast.
